Southend United's rescheduled Division Three game with Mansfield Town will not go ahead tonight (Wednesday), as originally hoped.

The match was abandoned after referee Mike North collapsed just before half-time during Monday's game and later died. It is believed he suffered a heart attack.

The move means today's Avon Insurance Combination League game between the Blues reserves and their Bristol Rovers counterparts will go ahead as scheduled at 2pm at Roots Hall.

However, the question and answer session with David Webb and Ron Martin set for the Shrimpers Bar tonight has now been cancelled.
