The Kelvedon Festival Committee has been awarded £4,880 National Lottery cash to stage a village festival in June.
The event will be on June 23 at the recreation ground and follows the success of a music festival in 1999 and the village Millennium Festival.
This year's event will provide opportunities to enjoy a variety of art forms as spectators or participants with the emphasis on live music catering for all tastes.
A programme will be on sale from mid-May from Kelvedon outlets or on 01376 571271 or 572506. Entry is free, with a small charge for craft workshops.
