A £20m building programme for 12 primary schools in Tendring has been announced under a privately-financed initiative.
The agreement comes just weeks after it was revealed £25 million was to be spent on a new secondary school for Clacton under another privately financed scheme.
Work is set to start in the summer holidays following an agreement being finalised between the local education authority, Essex County Council and the Kier Group to finance the scheme.
The schools include Oakwood Infants, Clacton, Engaines Primary at Little Clacton, Frinton Primary, Highfields Primary at Lawford, Bradfield Primary, Two Village Primary at Ramsey, St George's C of E Primary, Great Bromley, Great Bentley Primary, Tendring Primary, Harwich Community Primary and Nursery and Wix and Wrabness Primary.
Cash has also been earmarked for Boxted C of E Primary School.
The Bedfordshire - based Kier Group will carry out the work in all the schools as a Public Private Partnership.
