A man was stabbed twice in the back during a fight.
The incident started in Colne Road, Clacton, at about 11.15pm on Saturday and spilled into Pallister Road, where the man suffered two one-inch stab wounds to his lower back. He also sustained facial injuries.
A group of people were involved in the incident and the man, who is from the Clacton area, was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital. He was due to be released from hospital today.
Police today appealed for witnesses to the fight.
A search for the weapon used in the attack was carried out, but nothing was found.
