Chelmsford Canoe Club paddler Keith Moule returned to international competition in extremely high temperatures at the weekend, at Zagreb, Croatia.

This was the final World Cup event of the year and witnessed Keith and K2 partner Danny Golder's best result of the year.

Racing 1000m, their strongest event on the Saturday, the pair finished second in their heat to qualify directly to the final.

Having made the first final the pair raced hard to finish a season's best of sixth, in what was to prove the best kayak of the British team attending this regatta.

On Sunday the pair teamed up again for the 500m K2 race where they finished fifth in the B final.

Overall Moule was pleased with the regatta, and is now back in training, waiting to find out if he has done enough to make the British Team for the Senior World Championships in Poznan, Poland at the end of August.
