Parents in East Tilbury have been urged to keep a close watch on their children with no sign of a breakthrough in the hunt for abducted teenager Danielle Jones.
The warning came at a packed meeting of more than 400 anxious villagers yesterday (Sunday) as it emerged that some parents were keeping their children indoors until the abductor had been found.
Police were today (Friday) setting up a mobile police station in the heart of the community to give residents more reassurance.
Fifteen-year-old Danielle disappeared after leaving her Hayle home five weeks ago today (Monday). Police say she was abducted.
Organiser Jackie Stephens, a close family friend, said: "Someone holds the key to the investigation.''
