Developers of the Shell Haven site at Corringham are seeking the views of local people.
A glossy leaflet has been produced by P&O highlighting the basics of the proposal for a new port and ancillary developments on the 1,500-acre site.
It includes a cut-out freepost comments card asking people to give their views.

Developers say comments "will be taken into account".
