BBC Essex Radio presenter Tim Gillett got a huge shock when he opened his car door to find a tramp asleep on the back seat.
Tim, who lives in Shoebury, was about to drive to the radio station's Chelmsford studio for his regular show when he made the startling discovery.
A BBC Essex spokesman said: "Apparently he got up and found this chap in his car. He told him he had to go to work and the man obligingly got out and wandered off."
