Drivers suffered confusion today (Monday) as a set of traffic lights went out at a busy town centre junction.
The lights were out at the junction of Wimpole Road, Magdalen Street, Barrack Street and Brook Street at the weekend.
And today (Monday) two cars were involved in a collision at about 8.30am.
Three traffic wardens were at the scene and an engineer was working on the control box for the system.
Cautious drivers were treating the junction as an ordinary crossroads, but pedestrians were struggling to cross, so traffic wardens were stopping traffic to help.
