Southend United continued their unbeaten pre-season winning run last night (Monday) by beating local Ryman League opponents Heybridge Swifts.
The visiting Southend side are now looking forward to their mid-week clash against Premiership side Leicester City.
Southend manager David Webb has indicated he views Wednesday's game as a true gauge of how far his side has come as they prepare for the new season.
