Hadleigh Carport Southend Borough Combination Premier title holders White Ensign A could truly sing "We are the champions" at Rochford Festival of Sport finals day.

For their A team collected the senior football champion of champions crown at King George's, Rayleigh, after a 3-1 victory over Bell Sports brought them the Ernie Adcock Cup.

They'd earlier captured the Open C final for the Mobil Cup, beating their own B side 4-0. Bell had collected the Open B John Ralph Cup with a 3-0 victory over Leigh Ramblers.

Blades is a cut above the rest

Adam Blades cut a dash to capture a top honour at the Rochford Festival of Sport karate competition.

At Park Sports Centre, Rawreth, Blades won the white belt kata (formal exercise) from Marcus Moorecroft and Connor Cooper.

Stalighters the stars

The five-a-side soccer competition was won by Starlighters BB from Prostars.

All darts finals were staged at Cupids County Club, Great Wakering with S Maish and T Hammond dominant.

Maish won the men's singles and teamed up with R Wattering for the men's pairs crown.

Hammond collected the ladies singles and then won the ladies pairs with S Patterson. P Brookes and A Holmes were the mixed pairs champs.
