South Woodham's Postbag shopping arcade has lined up a series of Saturday activities to attract shoppers to town.
Kicking off on Saturday will be displays from Riverside Majorettes, Swallows Gymnastics, live band music from Cheap Genes and Mr Happy the children's entertainer.
Other events which will run at Heralds Way from 10am to 4pm have been lined up for August 4, 11, 18 and 25.
"Many local businesses and organisations are being contacted to participate in the event," said a spokesman.
He added: "The local youth centre and Tiger Joe have already offered to provide live music on various weekends."
