A rowing team have named their new boat after their late treasurer.
The Royal Marine rowing team, based at the Royal Marine pub in Old Pier Street, Walton, had a naming ceremony of their new clayton skiff, which they named after Ken Coombes.
Mr Coombes died suddenly in April following a heart attack.
The boat was pushed to the seafront at Walton and was led by the town's Sea Cadets, with the boat crew, Mr Coombes' widow, Margaret, and his family following.
Accompanying the family were pub regulars and the shanty crew, who kept them in song as they went around the village.
The boat was christened with a real ale, called Our Ken, and roses were thrown into the sea on its launch.
The Royal Marine Rowing Club has more than 20 members.
