Another festival is planned for Colchester - but instead of music being the main attraction, visitors will be looking to the sky for entertainment.
The Colchester Kite Festival, on June 15 and 16, will raise funds for St Helena Hospice, with stunts, displays and interactive workshops on offer.
Kites of all shapes and sizes are promised, including a host of variations on the traditional sport.
Unusual attractions include one daring person being lifted skyward by a bank of kites, and stunt kites flying in formation.
Held in Abbey Field, entry is free with a £3 charge for car parking.
Stallholders interested in attending the event should call the charity's fundraising unit on 01206 574995, and volunteers are also needed
