Southend police are appealing for information following the theft of four large garden ornaments from a street in the town.
At some time between 11pm on Thursday night and 8am on Friday morning thieves went into the front garden of a house in Appletree Close and took the distinctive items.
Their haul included a large stone-coloured ceramic meditating Buddha, a large cherub statuette with a bowl on its head holding a plant, a wall plate of the goddess Sheba and a large black ceramic pot holding a plant.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the thefts or seen a vehicle which triggered any suspicion in the street to get in touch. n 01702 431212, quoting ref JP73 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
