Bowers Gifford electrician Scott Davis got the shock of his life when he reeled in a monster fish in Thailand.
What a whopper -- Scott Davis shows off the 110kg catfish he landed on holiday in Thailand.
Scott, 33, caught the 110-kilo specimen, known to locals as a giant catfish, using only a rod and reel following a 45-minute struggle at a lake in Pattaya.
The keen angler tempted his quarry with a lure bait consisting mainly of squid, on a six-month holiday to the Far East.
The catch followed a tremendous struggle for the Basildon man, who has fished on the sea scene in Southend.
Said father Pete, also of Bowers Gifford: "When he phoned me up I couldn't believe it. I've been fishing 30 years and he goes straight out and gets the fish of a lifetime!"
