The Southend Borough championships went to the year seven netball girls of Southend High School.
Representing the Southchurch Boulevard based school were: Emma Hart, Jenny Fuller, Gemma Harris, Claire King, Megan Roffey, Natasha Bailey, Paris Carr, and Elizabeth O'Donoghue.
Meanwhile the year nine Eastwood School netball squad have completed a fine double. They clinched the Southend Schools' Netball League -- soon after an exciting joint victory in the schools' netball tournament.
The squad included Faye Wilson, Selina Bowen, Suzanne Rough, Rachael Verrall, Rebecca Verrall, Carly Wigmore and Shelley Hallmark.
And there were mixed fortunes for Greensward School in Hockley.
At the Castle Point and Rochford schools district finals the A team were edged out by King John, but the B team-- both squads coached by Jenny McLaughlin -- were triumphant.
Keli Hamstead led the under-13 team to victory in their age group.
