Colchester United boss Steve Whitton has revealed he will not be offering injury-plagued 26-year-old central defender Ross Johnson a new contract for next season.
He said following Saturday's game against Wigan: "Decisions like this are never easy to make, but Ross has been part of my defence that has gone off the boil a bit and we need to improve in that area."
Johnson made only 55 League and cup appearances in his two-and-a-half seasons with the U's.
