Fun school holiday activities have hit a south Essex time for the first time.
Impulse Leisure Centres have been running an Activkids programme every summer for some time, but this year was the first summer the company has held activities in all three Thurrock centres - Blackshots and Corringham, as well as Belhus Park.
Business development manager Donna Flatford said: "We used to run the scheme at the Belhus Park centre because it has a park, but we decided it would be better for the children if we had activities at all three centres, even if that would mean less take up in Belhus. It is working very well. We seem to be at maximum every day."
