Town centre figures are confident Braintree's Christmas lights display this winter will be bigger and better than before.
Braintree Town Centre Strategy Group arranged for decorations to be put up by a festival lighting company after seeing a display in Maldon.
The plans include an illuminated Merry Christmas banner across Rayne Road by Barclays Bank, eight festive cross street banners split among Bank Street, High Street, New Street and Great Square, drapes in other parts of the town centre and 14 wall mounted illuminated display panels above shops plus other displays.
