Committed volunteers are needed to help start a youth club in Rivenhall.

Villagers expressed interest in improving facilities and increasing activities for young people at a recent parish council meeting, and it was suggested a youth club be formed.

Parish and district councillor James Abbot said: "The idea is at a very early stage, we are still trying to find out if it's possible.

"We will need people to volunteer and remain committed to the club, but it's an excellent idea. A youth club would have a positive impact in many areas."

He said Rivenhall is a small village but has two halls which would both make an ideal venue for a youth club.
