Hullbridge's Hanover golf club marked their Georgian captain's week with a series of competitions -- and enjoyed some hard-fought battles.
The major trophy held was the captain's cup and it produced a close finish between Jim Connor and Dave Wright.
The pair finished level on 42 points, with Connor edging out his opponent on countback.
The ladies competition was equally close as Valerie Mair and Ann Aylott battled for the lead.
They tied on 37 points and, as in the men's compeition, it was the back nine score which gave Mair her victory.
Peter Sims, 42 points, was victorious in the mid-week members and vets trophy, taking the prize by one point over Rob Turnbull.
