Oscar-winning actress Dame Judi Dench has named a new £250 million luxury cruise ship in Harwich.
Dame Judi was at Harwich International Port yesterday to name the 88,500-tonne Carnival Legend.
In return for her appearance, Carnival agreed to donate 25,000 dollars, about £17,000, to the Oxford Iris Murdoch Appeal - Dame Judi portrayed the writer in the film Iris - and the British Lung Foundation.
