Having leaked five in the week against Maidenhead United, Chesham were more than content with a point and a clean sheet at Heybridge on Saturday.
It was an uninspiring encounter for both sides, with midfield possession dominating much of the play. Swifts keeper Kingsley Banks reacted well to James Bent's early strike for United, while at the other end Danny Barber shot too high from long range.
After the break, Heybridge midfield dynamo Andy Tomlinson came into his own, dictating play with style and aggression. But even his dominance in the centre couldn't provide the breakthrough, with Dave Rainford twice going closest to breaking the deadlock.
A point apiece probably a fair reflection of a slow afternoon's work.
