Stortford missed out on the chance to go third in the Ryman Premier, leaking two late goals to claim only a point at Harrow Borough.

Boosted by Tuesday night's superb showing at Canvey Island, Stortford tore into their opponents from the off, and led on 8 minutes when Roy Essandoh held off a defender before firing past Andy Pape.

That lead was doubled just fourteen minutes later when Mark McGibbon slung in a ball from the right. Essandoh did enough to distract Pape, leaving Troy Braham to slot home into an empty net.

It wasn't all one way traffic however, as Micky Desborough was frequently being kept busy at the other end by a Harrow attack that was gradually coming to life.

The game should have been wrapped up in the opening minutes of the second period however, when Essandoh and Vinnie John both shot straight at Pape with the goal at their mercy.

And they were made to pay, as Fabio Valenti's free-kick took a wicked nick off the Stortford wall to reduce the arrears on 83 minutes.

As the Essex visitors looked to sit back and hang on to the three points, Borough came with one late surge, and a point was confirmed by Richard Goddard's angled header three minutes into injury time.
