Harlow Town climbed into the promotion places in Ryman Division One North with Bank Holiday Monday's comfortable win at Hemel Hempstead Town. The Essex side join Hornchurch at the top of the table with three wins and a draw from their first four league matches. Kelechi Opara, the former Billericay striker, was making his debut for the Rocks, and he contributed to a 2-0 away victory.
Great Wakering and Aveley shared the points in a 1-1 draw, while Tilbury got off the mark at Barton Rovers, getting the better of their opponents in a five goal thriller.
East Thurrock remain bottom however. A tough season appears in store for United after another heavy reverse. Saturday's 4-0 home thrashing by Barking was almost mirrored at Wealdstone yesterday with the Essex side leaking a further three goals without reply.
Wivenhoe Town have less trouble scoring, though their defensive lapses are beginning to cost them dearly. Another three points were surrendered on Saturday as Leyton Pennant escaped from Essex with the three points in a 2-1 win.
