Harlow moved third in the Division One North standings yesterday with a narrow 2-1 home win over Wembley.
Substitute Dale Archer's double reversed a 1-0 half-time deficit presented by Chris Perisimou's strike for the North London club.
Archer's first came on 76 minutes when he nodded in Gary Wraight's cross, though fans were kept waiting until the third minute of injury time before all three points were assured, with Archer sweeping in Paul Seaman's centre for a dramatic finale.
Wivenhoe created all the running at Arlesey Town to take the lead on 16 minutes through Sean Campbell. But the hosts hit back ten minutes after the restart with Dean Harding finding time and space to score.
Tilbury and Great Wakering were surprised to see their encounter become the first match this season to be postponed, and less join for Essex rivals East Thurrock United who were hit for four by visitors Barking.
The East Ham-based side were the whipping boys of this division just last season, though their shrewd summer transfer activity looks to be paying dividends, with Jamie Dormer, Mervin Abrahams and a Michael Black double making it an easy day's work at United's closest rivals.
Food for thought for Thurrock; they prop up the division and are yet to register their first league point.
