Stuffing doughnuts at a rate of knots might not be everyone's idea of fun - but for record breaking regulars at a Basildon pub it was all for a good cause.

Regulars at the Crane pub in Denys Drive held a charity day aimed at breaking five bizarre world records.
And in the end they were successful in the doughnut-eating with others, like eating corn with a cocktail stick, coming close.
Part-time barman Nigel Hudson managed to gulp down four doughnuts in less than three minutes to beat the existing record by one - only for colleague Kevin Nicholas to better that by two.
Kevin, 20, who works in the pub, said: "I didn't feel like a world record holder. I just felt hungry."
