Tiptree progress to the next round of the cup after a 4-0 victory against Stanway despite a poor performance.

Manger Neil Farlie said: "Although we scored four goals, we didn't play particularly well.

"What was pleasing was the fact that we managed to put our chances away.

"In recent games we have been creating chances without actually scoring."

Stanway fielded a weakened side which featured many academy players and controlled much of the game.

But Tiptree scored the opener after half an hour with a great finish from Dave Barefield.

And five minutes before half-time, Paul Davis who was making his first team debut scored a cracking goal.

The Stanway keeper's clearance fell to Davis who lobbed the ball over his head from 40-yards.

Two minutes after the break Tiptree made it three when Andrew Brady, back from injury scored with a volley and Dave Lodge finished the scoring with ten minutes remaining.

Harwich were knocked out of the cup to the hands of Ryman League side Harlow after losing 4-1 at home while Wivenhoe were crushed 5-0 away at Billericay.
