Basildon: Judge locks up girl attacker

A Basildon schoolgirl has been locked up after she kicked another pupil in the face, fracturing her jaw and injuring her arm and back.

The 15-year-old attacker, who cannot be named, admitted at Basildon Crown Court causing grievous bodily harm.

She was made the subject of a detention and training order for eight months, which will be served at a secure detention centre.
