Canvey Island coach Richard Smith and skipper Jason Carter are threatening to quit over their side's poor attitude to training.

The duo are feeling the frustration after their struggling team again went down at Tewkes Creek.

They have not now won a league match for more than a year. Smith said: "Individually we've got as a good a set of players as any in this league, but we're not playing as a team."

Canvey conceded three first-half tries, but could make no headway with the elements in the second.
