With much of the county in the grip of a big freeze Labour councillor Reg Copley is reminding people they may be eligible for heating grants.
The St Luke's ward councillor said grants of up to £1,500 were available towards the cost of improvements in insulation and water and room heating.
He said: "Families who have a child under 16 and are receiving Income Support, income based Jobseeker's Allowance, Housing Benefit or people in receipt of a range of benefit."
