POLICE are urging motorists to take extra care when travelling in freezing
conditions, after a serious road collision has left one woman dead.
The 45-year-old woman was travelling on Lower Road in Hullbridge when her
vehicle lost control and collided with a tree, and police are appealing for
witnesses.
The incident happened yesterday at 9.15am. The woman was taken to Southend
general hospital but died from her injuries.
Anyone who saw the car prior to the accident, or any other witnesses, should
call Rayleigh road policing unit on 01268 775533.
