Electricity company 24seven continues to let customers in the Braintree area down it was claimed today after another power cut.
About 1,000 customers in the Black Notley area lost power at 11.10pm last night until 12.15am this morning.
Roger Walters, Essex county councillor for Braintree West, has criticised 24seven after the latest blackout.
Mr Walters said it was not the first since the meeting he called two weeks ago with company bosses to discuss progress in dealing with ongoing problems.
24seven said no fault was found for last night's cut and a patrol of overhead lines would be carried out today to see if there were any potential faults
