This was an emphatic victory for Colchester United who just love playing Chesterfield at Saltergate.
Nineteen months ago the U's ran riot when clocking up their biggest ever League away win when kicking off the 2001-2002 season with a 6-3 triumph.
They followed that up last night with a very comfortable four-goal victory - their biggest away win this season.

It was also new manager Phil Parkinson's first away win in charge.
The result assured the U's their first Division Two win-double of the season following their 2-0 success over the Spireites at Layer Road last October.
And it also elevated Parkinson's in-form squad up the table into 12th spot - their highest position since ocuppying eighth place after drawing at home with Cheltenham early last September.
"The lads are playing really well at the moment and I couldn't be happier," said a delighted Parkinson.
"Alan White summed up our night for us when, with 30 seconds remaining, he hurled himself in where it hurts to prevent Chesterfield from scoring."
