Relief will soon be on the way for Essex heart patients waiting up to seven weeks for vital tests.

A new angiography suite will be unveiled in June at Broomfield Hospital's cardiac centre, Chelmsford.

At present people who need coronary angiogram tests are sent to London.

The new centre will mean mid-Essex patients will no longer go to London for tests which should also help cut the waiting times for north Essex patients.
