COLCHESTER United produced one of their worst displays of the season as they crashed to a two-goal defeat at the hands of Grimsby Town in their first visit in 14 years to Blundell Park.
The U's even gifted the Mariners thier two goals one in each half with goalkeeper Simon Brown the chief culprit.
Brown completely missed a a left-wing cross from Darren Barnard which let in loanee striker Iffy Onuora to score Grimsby's first minutes before half-time.
The former Spurs keeper then allowed a half-hit Michael Boulding shot to elude his grasp as the Mariners wrapped up the scoreline eight minutes before fulltime.
