The U's were never at the races, conceding two goals in each half and their cause wasn't helped by the 28th minute sending-off of Craig Fagan for an off the ball incident involving Diamonds John Dempster
The home team were a goal up inside the first four minutes via top scorer Onandi Lowe and two-up six minutes before half-time when Stuart Gray netted a close range shot
Andy Burgess stretchede the lead further with a 57th minute header and Marcus Bignot finished things off with a brilliant 80th minute volley
