Southend United travel to Clacton Town this evening for a re-arranged Essex Senior Cup clash at the Rush Green Bowl.
"It's going to be something of a cup final for them," said boss Steve Til-son on the fourth round tie.
"They're going to be up for it and, with all this wet weather we've been having, I'm sure it will be a heavy pitch which will also help level things up."
Tilson, who won the Senior Cup during his time with Canvey Island, also admitted the Blues would need to battle against their Ridgeons Eastern Counties league opponents.
"It's going to be hard but we have more quality in our side and hopefully that will shine through," he added.
Steven Clark will not take part in tonight's encounter having picked up a foot injury.
