Parking problems at a railway station are "ridiculous" and set to get worse, it has been claimed.

Derek Monnery, chairman of Manningtree Rail Users' Association, said the car park at Manningtree station was now completely full by 8.15am each weekday.

He said that anyone wanting to travel during off-peak times had no chance of parking at the station.

Mr Monnery said that at present there were no other car parks nearby and the local bus service was "erratic", so the only other way to get to the station was by taxi.
