Harlow trail league leaders Cheshunt by eleven points now following Saturday's 3-2 reversal at struggling Berkhamsted Town.

Wayne Cort and Leon Bell were on the scoresheet for the Essex side, but goals from Luigi Rocco, Mark Burfoot and Mark Reed propelled the hosts to only their eighth league win of the campaign.

Aveley enjoyed an altogether more successful afternoon's work, thumping four past Arlesey Town to climb to 16th in the table.

Their most impressive win of the campaign came courtesy of goals from Jamie Martin (2), Rob Walker and Jermain Hughes.

East Thurrock United ground out a 0-0 draw at Uxbridge to remain in mid-table, while a similar scoreline for Great Wakering against Wealdstone wasn't enough to elevate the village outfit out of the bottom three.

Elsewhere, a Shaun Rees-Brown own goal and Dave Fotheringham strike saw form side Chesham take the points at Tilbury, while Wivenhoe lost a seven-goal thriller at Boreham Wood.

The hosts roared into a three-goal lead in the first 24 minutes, with Ryan Moran, Bradley John and Sammy Winston seemingly on their way to inflicting a heavy defeat on the Essex side.

But the visitors recovered to score two goals before the break through Michael Brothers and Ray Turner.

An unlikely fightback was on when Sean Caton made it 3-3 nine minutes after the restart, but Winston won the game with eleven minutes to spare when Caton was adjudged to have hauled down Winston in the box.

It finished 4-3, a result that leaves Wivenhoe 18th in Ryman Division One North.
