Castle Point Council's highways and leisure committee will decide whether it is viable to build a stadium at Waterside Farm recreation ground.

The Gulls, who are currently flying high at the top of the Ryman League premier division, have expressed an interest in moving to the site off Somnes Avenue, after turning down an idea for a stadium on land at Northwick Road.

A meeting involving club manager and director Jeff King, Castle Point's chief executive Barry Rollinson and leisure committee members was held in November and now council officers believe there is potential for a new ground for the club.
