A van has been completely destroyed by fire after arsonists set light to a pot of glue inside the vehicle.
Police and firefighters today appealed for people to come forward who saw what happened in Aspen Close, Canvey.
Police told how it was not the first time the vehicle had been targeted, as vandals recently broke all of its windows.
It was this act of vandalism which allowed arsonists to get inside the vehicle and torch the glue. Sub-officer Mike Jones from Canvey fire said: "The glue can was left on the passenger seat. When we arrived the fire had taken quite a hold. We were at the scene for about half an hour, and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze."
