Despite bolstering their squad with the introduction of five new signings, Braintree Town failed to stop their win-less run and fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Maidenhead United.
Lawrence Yaku opened the scoring and teed-up Luke Costello for a second after 18 minutes.
Bradley Quinton headed home Gregg Williams' cross to put the Iron back into contention, and this, coupled with the dismissal of Maidenhead's Steve Sanders, gave the home side hope at the interval.
However, visiting keeper Nick Hart was in inspired form to preserve the lead, saving from Swann, Carl Allison and Wallace in the closing stages.
To compound Braintree's frustration, debutant Wolf was dismissed for a second bookable offence in injury-time.
