Essex Police have dropped a corporate manslaughter investigation following the death of a six-year-old boy at Tilbury Docks.
Harry Palmer died on Friday, August 29, when he was crushed by a giant roll of paper which was being moved by a fork lift truck.
The accident, which happened during the school summer holidays, took place at berth 32.
Essex Police said: "A police investigation followed as to whether there was any culpability on the part of three men who had been formally interviewed. We feel that there is insufficient evidence against the men and the Port of Tilbury.
"However, the investigation will continue with the Health and Safety Executive taking the lead. All evidence will be provided to the coroner's office," he stated.
