Swimmer James Gibson is more determined than ever to challenge for his place at the Athens Olympics.
Witham's 100 metres breaststroke world champion believes he is in top form to make the qualifying time in the British National Long Course Championships in Sheffield on Sunday.
"I've never been better prepared in my whole life," said Gibson, 24.
"There is pressure on me to qualify as I'm the current world champion, but I know anything could happen on the day.
"I'm not saying things that will put extra pressure on me.
"I've just had to do the training to eliminate the parts that could cause my downfall."
There are only two places in the 100m event up for grabs and, with Britain boasting some of the best swimmers in the world at the discipline, Gibson knows it will be a tough challenge on Sunday.
"Including myself, there are five guys who are capable of making the qualifying time," he said.
