Four goals from Linda Wilsher, who came on in the second-half to play in an unfamiliar striking position, saw Billericay Town Ladies beat their Colchester United counterparts 5-1 in the Essex County Women's League First Division.
Their other goal came from Elaine Sykes and this latest success came hot on the heels of the previous week's superb Essex Cup semi-final 4-0 win at White Notley.
In Division Two, Rochford Town continued their good form with a 3-0 win over Harlow Frontiers.
Rochford were unfortunate that injuries meant they had only one substitute and, with Sam Butcher taking the right side of defence, Jane Cooper moved to midfield.
Player-manager Donna Loveland, partnering Julie Clark up front, provided the cross from which Clark opened the scoring.
Clare Russell then hit a superb shot from outside the box for one of the goals of the season and Loveland herself made it 3-0 with a left-foot effort from Shantelle Gamble's pass through the opposition defence.
