Traffic police have issued a stark warning to motorcyclists after a worrying rise in road deaths
There have already been seven riders killed in Essex this year, more than in the same period for 2003, with many more being injured.
Now Stanway traffic police will target the law-breakers on the A133 to put the brakes on excessive speed.
Insp Steve Brewer said: "For these people their few seconds of madness will cost them dearly.
"Safety cameras are deployed in and around the area to drive down speeds and casualties.
"Offenders caught by the camera will be dealt with depending on how fast they were travelling.
"Some will have to attend court and face being disqualified as well as fined."
