A tame indonesian lorikeet has gone missing from a farm in Mundon.
Four-year-old Ziggy was given to Tim Horogood by a rescue centre to live with him in New Hall Lane. But yesterday morning his beloved bird went missing from his willow tree and the owner fears he has been eaten by a bird of prey or chased off the farm by other birds.
He said: "I've had him for about nine months. I left him doing his thing in the willow tree in the garden but when I returned, he was gone. My biggest fear is that a hawk has got him."
Ziggy is aubergine purple in colour, black from a distance, and has a yellow and green underside tail.
