Fed-up residents are calling for action to improve the highways and paths in their area.
Pot-holed roads are causing problems for residents in Audley Way, Frinton and Rainham Way on the border of Frinton and Walton.
Bob Mills, a member of the Walton Residents' Association, said it had been going on for months.
"They are pretty bad. There's two potholes in Rainham Way and every day I go down there, they seem to get deeper and deeper," he said.
Mr Mills said contract workers made a good job of improving the road in Rainham Way two years ago but added they did not do anything in Audley Way.
He said he has made numerous complaints to Tendring Council and at the Walton Community Project office.
Mike Page, spokesman for Tendring Council, said: "We have over 100 unadopted roads in Tendring for which Tendring Council has no responsibility or budget.
"Parts of Rainham Way and all of Audley Way come into this category."
